Great Jewish Debates: Monthly adult learning led by Rav Dena Glasgow

While each session in this series stands alone, they all highlight Jewish disputes over the ages.

The next session will be Sunday December 6 at 1 PM on the topic “Will the Real Miracle of Hanukkah Stand Up”.  The Jewish holiday of Hanukkah is not mentioned in the Bible and has taken on many meanings, especially in modern times. We will look at ancient interpretations of the holiday and see how they relate to our modern understandings. In particular, we will explore how our modern interpretations of Hanukkah can be seen as part of a larger battle over how Judaism itself is to be understood.

If you are interested in participating, please contact the Betenu office.
